Be holy in all you do, for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy

1 Peter 1:15-16: But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.

Holiness, or sanctity, is in general the position of being holy or sacred (considered worthy of high spiritual respect, devotion, inspiring awe or reverence among believers in a given spiritual experience).This word is commonly used in church folks. In other contexts, objects are often considered holy or very sacred if used for spiritual purposes, such as the pooja or service (worship) of gods. This may be true, but it's still a great concept. Today’s verse God tells us be holy as He. The perfection of holiness we see in Him. And he likes to be every one in that perfection.

Heavenly Father, we come before you to know how great the distance between your holiness and our commonness. We thank you for making us holy through the sacrifice of Jesus and by sending your Holy-Spirit to live inside of us. Please receive our life today as a holy offering to you. We pray in the name of Infant Jesus, the Prince and perfecter of my faith. Amen.
