In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free

Psalm 118:5-6: In my anguish I cried to the LORD,and he answered by setting me free. The LORD is with me, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

The Lord does likes to be with us, especially all those moments when we feel that we are most alone. Jesus told us that by experiencing anguish, alone, by himself on the cross. The presence of the Lord itself will make everyone free from all anguish. His promising words “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”. (Isaiah 41:10) Tensions, sickness, everything go away from everyone, just his presence. I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me, the presence of the Lord is absolutely vital to standing up against our anguish.
