Wednesday-Twenty-seventh Week in Ordinary Time
Proverbs 19:20-21: Listen to advice and accept instruction and in the end you will be wise. Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. |
Prayer ...
Heavenly Father, teach us your ways and help us distinguish your paths for our life. We have so many plans and schemes, but we know if they are not from you, they will not stand. Lead us to your wisdom and we will not only seek to know it, but also seek to live it by the power completed by your Holy Spirit. In Infant Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Meditation on Today's Gospel:
Jesus' disciples ask him teach them to pray. When Jesus taught his disciples to pray he gave them the disciple's prayer, what we say the Our Father or Lord's Prayer. What does Jesus' prayer tell us about God and concerning ourselves? First, it tells us that God is both Father in being the maker and Author of all that he has made the first source of everything and transcendent authority, and he is everlastingly Father by his relationship to his only Son who, equally is Son only in relation to his Father. Heaven father, you have given us a mind to know you, a will to provide you, and a heart to love you. Give us today the grace and power to embrace your holy will and fill our heart that all our intentions and actions may be satisfying to you. Help us to be kind and forgiving towards our neighbor as you have been towards us.
