Guide us to the places you want us to be Lord, to the ministries in which you want us to serve, and to the people you most want us to touch. Capture us heart to do your work and by no means let us lose sight of your coming glory. In Infant Jesus' name. we pray. Amen.

Meditation on Today's Gospel: (Luke 4:16-30)
The word "Gospel" literally stands for "good news". Isaiah had prophesied that the Messiah would come in the authority of the Holy Spirit to bring freedom to those exploited by sin and evil. Jesus came to set people free from the most evil oppression possible - the domination of slavery to sin and the fear of death, and the devastation of both body and soul. God's power only can save us from emptiness and lack of spirit, from uncertainty and error, and from the fear of death and despair. The gospel of salvation is "Good News" for us today. Do we know the joy and liberty of the gospel?
