The LORD loves righteousness and justice

  Thoughts on Today's Verse... (September 22, 2010)

Holy joy always is the heart and soul of praise, and that is here pressed upon the righteous and grace. Thankful praise is the always breath and language of Holy Joy, the spirit of Lord. Religious songs are always proper expressions of thankful praise and thanksgiving. Every endowment we often possess, should be employed with all our skill and earnestness in God's presence. His promises are all always wise and good. His word is right, and therefore we are only in the right when we agree with it. His works are all done in truth. He is the righteous Lord, in this context love is righteousness. Sometimes pity it is that this earth, often so full of proofs and instances of God's goodness, should be so empty of his praises, because of that the multitudes who live upon his bounty, there are so few who live to his glory. What the Lord often does, he does to purpose, it stands fast. He over rules in time all the counsels of men, and makes them serve his counsels, even that is fulfilled, which to us is most surprising. The eternal counsel of Heavenly Father, nor can any thing prevent its coming to pass.

  Let us Pray...

O Miraculous Infant Jesus, we greet you today as your gift and a reminder of your faithfulness. Heavenly Father, each day the sun rises we anticipate the day you honor your promise to send your Son back to bring me home to you. Give us a keen sense everyday of your faithful presence. We pray this through Him in whom all your promises find their fulfillment. Amen.
